Our custom shop is back up and open, albeit at a slower pace. Allyson has stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to her lungs and brain by August 2021. At that point we thought she would have less than a year to live. And for almost a year she went through really heavy chemo and radiation treatment. We had to shut down almost everything–treatment and caretaking were full time jobs for both of us. But the treatment worked very well to rid her lungs of visible cancer, and without that aggressive treatment she would have lived for only another month or two. For the last year and a half Allyson has been on a less invasive chemotherapy treatment cycle that is difficult but allows her to live reasonably well and work some. Typically, this chemo treatment is effective for 6-7 months, so we are very grateful to get well over double the normal time frame on it (and still going). Chemo, along with brain radiation (almost) every three months has kept the cancer at bay. Allyson has gotten used to living with this cycle and is more and more able to spend time building and carving. Bryan is no longer teaching so that he can spend more time with Allyson in the shop and in the home. So we are happy to take your orders and will be as prompt as we can be in responding and in getting them to you. Thank you for your support and patience. Bryan and Allyson.
